Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team in Bethesda, MD, building a cutting-edge data discovery platform modernization. Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering/CS or a related field
• Strong Linux proficiency
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional engineering environments

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and reliability.
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related activities.
