Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Facility Manager to lead and technically expert across a cluster of Northern VA data centers. You will ensure availability and reliability to meet SLAs and oversee electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

You will manage Engineering Operations Technicians, coordinate with vendors, and drive security clearance requirements including Top Secret with SCI eligibility and polygraph, plus ongoing security compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of people management and team development experience.
• 4+ years of engineering work managing large-scale services experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Execute the InfraOps vision and goals.
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them from conception to completion.
• Coordinate daily with third party vendors ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Effectively manage the operations budget and expenditures.
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies to meet industry best practices and SLAs.
• Coordinate change management resources.
• Provide weekly reports to the Data Center DCEO Cluster Manager.
• Write and deliver performance reviews for staff.
• Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating appearances and vacations of direct reports.
• Recruit and train technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
