Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Aurora, CO seeks a Data Center Operations Site Manager to lead a team responsible for installing, maintaining, and decommissioning network and server hardware across multiple data centers.

You will ensure safety, security, availability, and cost efficiency while driving a positive customer experience. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and at least 2 years in data center operations, plus leadership proven ability.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• 2+ years of experience in Data Center Operations or similar roles.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Data Center Technicians and hourly employees across multiple data centers, installing, maintaining and decommissioning network and server hardware.
• Oversee the safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team, while driving a positive customer experience across multiple shift schedules.
• Manage team and individual performance; delivering performance reviews, and address staffing needs.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Mentor, train and develop career progression for direct reports and members of the organization.
• Obsess over team learning and development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills (critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability) development perspective.
• Coordinate support of change management resources in partnership with electrical and mechanical operations teams.
• Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
