Job summary

LMI seeks a Data Management and Automation Specialist to analyze, automate, and sustain administrative workflows for a Joint Staff element in the National Capital Region. You will design data solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Excel to reduce manual workload and improve reporting.

The role requires on-site support, active TS/SCI clearance, and periodic travel to supported commands and industry locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in a relevant field.
• 4+ years in data management, BI, workflow automation, or analytics.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Hands-on with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, and Excel.
• Translate business requirements into data models and dashboards.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, access control, and records management.
• Troubleshoot data/workflow issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Strong written communication and user training skills.
• Ability to work independently with administrative users and technical teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workflows to identify data gaps and opportunities for automation.
• Design, build, test, and maintain data management and automation solutions.
• Develop dashboards and reports to improve visibility and reduce cycle time.
• Integrate data from multiple headquarters sources while preserving lineage and controls.
• Establish data quality controls and governance practices.
• Gather requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Document architecture, business rules, SOPs, and user guides.
• Provide training, troubleshooting, and adoption support.
• Monitor performance, manage changes, and coordinate with IT and cybersecurity.
