Job summary

Akina, Inc. seeks a Cloud Engineer / Full Stack Developer (SWE2) for Fort Meade, MD. The role emphasizes building scalable web apps, data processing pipelines, and automation using AWS, Linux, and modern databases. TS/SCI clearance and polygraph are required.

Candidates should have 14+ years in software engineering (or 18+ years without a degree) and strong experience with Python/Java, data modeling, and CI/CD practices. Fort Meade area candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 14+ years in Linux software engineering (or 18+ years in lieu of degree).
• Experience developing software using Python or Java.
• Experience in data modeling, including normalization of data and working with metrics.
• Experience developing and maintaining web-based server applications and implementing algorithms interfacing with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing task automation using AWS API.
• Experience with periodic or streaming data.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Ability to design, develop, and implement data processing workflows.
• Ability to develop and optimize data structures using JSON, YAML, or NoSQL databases.
