Akina, Inc. seeks a high-caliber software engineer to join our Fort Meade team, delivering end-to-end engineering support for robust, large-scale distributed web applications and cloud-native systems.

You will prototype and field critical capabilities under compressed timelines, collaborating with analysts and researchers in offensive cyber space to modernize infrastructure and automate workflows.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in programs of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4 additional SWE years may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable microservices, REST middleware, and backend data processing pipelines to support high-tempo mission requirements.
• Deploy and manage services across cloud-native and high-side environments using IaC and DevOps automation.
• Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD) for rapid, secure software delivery.
• Collaborate with mission analysts and researchers to integrate engineering best practices into offensive cyber tooling.
• Utilize AI-assisted development workflows to maximize velocity addressing emergent mission opportunities.
