Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Direct Support Operator Flight Instructor at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. You will train 1A8 personnel through classroom work, simulators, and airborne ops to prepare aviators for real-world missions.

Required is a TS/SCI clearance, 6+ years of instructional experience, and the ability to travel. Strong leadership and communication are essential, and a Bachelor’s degree can be substituted with equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required on Day 1.
• Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
• Prior flight instructor experience preferred.
• Ability to pass flight physical qualifications.
• Experience training military personnel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Direct Support Operator Instructor for 1A8 personnel.
• Deliver training on mission planning, flight safety, airmanship, threat warning, TTPs, and COMSEC.
• Develop and refine classroom materials and simulator scenarios.
• Advise on military SOI development.
• Assess and log student performance with remedial training plans.
• Travel for training across 1A8 locations as required.
