Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) seeks a Help Desk Technician in Honolulu, HI for a temporary mid-shift role (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) with a potential transition to permanent employment.

The incumbent will serve as the first contact at the HQ desk for IT hardware, software, and networking issues and support executive-level communications. The position requires a TS clearance with SCI eligibility, a High School diploma or GED, and at least two years of service desk experience.

Qualifications

• TS clearance required, with ability to obtain SCI.
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• At least 2 years of service desk or help desk experience with basic hardware/software/network troubleshooting.
• Basic level skills in system administration and Active Directory.
• Ability to explain technical issues to staff without a technical background.

Responsibilities

• Temporary for ~6 months with potential to transition to full-time based on requirements.
• Initial point of contact at the service desk for ADP hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Facilitate secure/non-secure communications and liaison with external orgs.
• Manage a service desk tool following ITIL incident, service request, and problem management.
• Support Local Registration Authority duties per DoD standards.
• Provide Monthly Status Reports detailing progress and issues.
