Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) seeks a Help Desk Technician for a temporary night-shift role in Honolulu, HI, from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The position supports HQ executives, handles ITIL-based service desk duties, and may transition to permanent employment based on needs.

The ideal candidate has a TS clearance (SCI eligibility), a minimum high school diploma, and 2+ years of help desk experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of IT concepts.

Qualifications

• Requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• CompTIA Security+ certification preferred.
• 2+ years in service/help desk/support roles.
• Basic AD and system administration knowledge.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact at the service desk for HQ staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Manage ITIL-based incident and request workflows.
• Support secure/non-secure communications and liaison with DoD networks.
• Produce Monthly Status Reports for COR/TAs.
• Ensure operation and security of HQ communications.
