Job summary

I2X Technologies seeks a SATCOM Systems Engineer to support a DoD customer at Fort Meade. This on-site role requires an active Top Secret clearance and involves leading systems engineering for enterprise SATCOM across distributed facilities.

You will design and integrate SATCOM systems, translate mission requirements into technical specifications, and coordinate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver effective, modernized capabilities while complying with DoD processes and standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DoD end-to-end SATCOM systems engineering and architecture design or integration.
• 4+ years in DoD lifecycle activities: acquisition, requirements, engineering, design, integration.
• 4+ years in assessing SATCOM architectures and selecting concepts.
• 4+ years leading SATCOM systems development and integration.
• 4+ years in planning and sustaining technical projects.
• Knowledge of DoD systems acquisition and SATCOM systems (wideband/narrowband).
• DoDAF, SATCOM, and IP network knowledge.
• Ability to coordinate design efforts for enterprise SATCOM systems.
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering efforts for enterprise SATCOM capabilities.
• Design, develop, integrate SATCOM systems for tactical and strategic users.
• Translate requirements into technical specs and system architectures.
• Develop customer-focused engineering solutions based on mission needs.

• Evaluate technologies to modernize SATCOM systems.
• Support lifecycle phases: acquisition, engineering, integration, sustainment, operations.
• Coordinate efforts to meet operational and mission requirements.
• Field next-generation SATCOM capabilities across distributed facilities.
• Collaborate with customers and engineers to resolve technical challenges.
