Job summary

I2X Technologies is seeking a SATCOM Systems Engineer to support a DoD customer with on-site duties at Fort Meade. Lead enterprise SATCOM design, integration, and deployment across a worldwide network of facilities, translating mission requirements into technical specifications and ensuring mission success.

Minimum qualifications include 4+ years in DoD SATCOM engineering, DoDAF knowledge, and a Top Secret clearance. Bachelor’s in engineering or IT.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DoD end-to-end SATCOM systems engineering and architecture design/integration for Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) or SATCOM Gateway/Teleport capabilities
• 4+ years in DoD system lifecycle activities such as acquisition, requirements analysis, engineering, design, integration, sustainment, or technical refresh
• 4+ years of experience assessing satellite communications system architectures and current hardware limitations, defining new concepts and approaches
• 4+ years leading engineering tasks associated with development, design, or integration of SATCOM systems with multiple components
• 4+ years participating in planning, organizing, and conducting technical design and development, testing, fielding, and sustainment
• Knowledge of the DoD systems acquisition process and requirements for military SATCOM systems (wideband/narrowband/protected)
• Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Satellite Communications, and IP network technologies
• Ability to coordinate and consolidate disparate design efforts for an enterprise SATCOM system to optimize cost, schedule, performance risks and mitigation plans
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or IT field

• Lead systems engineering efforts to deliver enterprise SATCOM capabilities supporting a worldwide network of SATCOM facilities
• Design, develop, integrate, and enhance SATCOM systems supporting tactical and strategic users
• Translate operational and mission requirements into technical requirements and system specifications
• Develop customer-focused engineering solutions based on mission needs and existing operational environments
• Support the design and development of SATCOM system architectures and enterprise-level capabilities
• Evaluate and integrate advanced technologies to modernize SATCOM systems
• Support the systems engineering lifecycle across acquisition, engineering, integration, sustainment, operations, and management
• Coordinate technical efforts to ensure SATCOM capabilities meet requirements
• Support fielding of next-generation SATCOM capabilities across distributed facilities
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to identify requirements and resolve challenges

I2X Technologies is seeking a *SATCOM Systems Engineer* to support ongoing activities for a customer in *Fort Meade*. This position will be *on-site* and will require an active *Top Secret*.

• Lead systems engineering efforts to deliver enterprise SATCOM capabilities supporting a worldwide network of SATCOM facilities.
• Design, develop, integrate, and enhance SATCOM systems supporting tactical and strategic users.
• Translate operational and mission requirements into technical requirements and system specifications.

• Support the development and fielding of next-generation SATCOM capabilities across geographically distributed facilities.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and other technical stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve technical challenges, and deliver effective SATCOM solutions.
