Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, Maryland, supporting Wideband SATCOM operations under the WSOTS II contract. This is a full-time on-site position.

The ideal candidate holds an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, a relevant degree with several years of WSOC and military SATCOM experience, and proven ability to analyze transmissions, log reviews, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree with 2 years; or 8 years in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a WSOC.
• Minimum of 3 years of Military SATCOM experience, incl. SATCOM transmissions analysis and link performance.
• 3 years of IT and WSOMS network administration, Windows AD domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides SATCOM transmissions control and operations technical support and analysis to operations personnel.
• Performs OS, application software, database, and network protocol analysis and support.
• Coordinates with WSOMS sites for software upgrades and patch verification.
• Recommends and implements engineering design changes to meet technical requirements.
• Performs on-site customer training and on-the-job training support.
• Reviews audit, security, and application logs and takes corrective action.
• Maintains firewall rules, IDS, and handles intrusions.
• Analyzes satellite and network performance after reconfiguration.
• Analyzes DSCS and WGS configurations; provides SIPRNet/NIPRNet admin support; 24/7 coverage.
• Establishes cybersecurity configurations based on DISA STIGs and IAVM Notices.
