Job summary

Systek, Inc. in Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking a SATCOM Systems Engineer to support our DoD customer on deployed SATCOM terminals. The role is hybrid, with on-site and remote days.

Responsibilities include upgrading, testing, and documenting SATCOM systems, conducting risk assessments, developing test data and scripts, and ensuring compliance with standards. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Related DoD/Army Acquisition process experience.
• Experience with Strategic SATCOM systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of automated vulnerability scan tools (Retina, ACAS).

Responsibilities

• Provides systems engineering expertise to upgrade and modernize deployed DoD SATCOM terminals.
• Performs formal system testing activities under supervision of more experienced personnel.
• Executes defined test cases and documents results.
• Develops test data and scripts; records results in logs/tracking systems.
• Participates in risk management assessment and software/hardware development tasks.
• Ensures test designs align with standards and timelines.
• Supports conclusions with test results and analysis.
• Assists in documentation of test results and conclusions.
