Job summary

J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management seeks a Trust Administrator to support trusts and estates, under the Trust Officer, ensuring proper setup of account records and clear communication with beneficiaries.

You will analyze wills and trust documents, manage day-to-day administration, and coordinate with Tax Officers and counsel to resolve issues, while growing client relationships across a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in the administration and support of trust and estates including general understanding of fiduciary products and concepts, including legal, tax and investments knowledge.
• Client Servicing – client knowledge, client relationships, proactive communication
• Teamwork/Personal Effectiveness – clear and concise communication, time management, adaptability to delegate, coaching and training
• Advanced degree such as JD, CTFA or paralegal certificate, with paralegal experience in trust and estate practice

Responsibilities

• Open estate or trust accounts with the Account Opening Group.
• Interpret governing instruments and laws for proper setup of records, payments, fees and tax records.
• Analyze wills and trust documents for legal, tax, administrative and investment issues.
• Handle day-to-day administration and proactively manage trust accounts.
• Coordinate with Tax Officers and trust counsel to resolve tax issues.
• Maintain beneficiary information and fiduciary duties to provide superior client service.
• Partner with clients' other advisors (attorney, accountant).
• Develop and deepen client relationships.
• Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Bankers, Investors and Trust Officers on structuring and closing trusts and estates.
