Job Description
Looking for a skilled paralegal to become part of our dynamic and sophisticated Trusts & Estates team based in Hartford. The ideal candidate should have at least five (5) years of experience managing all elements of estate and trust administration. Experience in fiduciary administration and/or accounting is highly preferred. Key responsibilities will include:
· Drafting probate documents such as petitions, inventories, accountings, and final reports;
· Preparing materials related to asset identification, collection, and valuation;
· Handling fiduciary accounting tasks; and
· Creating estate, gift, and income tax returns.
This role involves significant interaction with clients and close collaboration with the department’s attorneys. It provides an excellent opportunity to take on meaningful responsibilities and gain hands-on experience in a team-oriented, sophisticated environment. Ideal candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in computer applications like Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to multitask effectively.
