H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and deliver personalized recommendations, supported by training and technology and an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and audit support
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive office environment
