Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete tax returns for clients with complex situations, including individuals and businesses. You will interview clients to understand finances and provide personalized recommendations.

As a trusted advisor, you will build year-round relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and support clients with IRS notices and audit guidance. This in-person role offers training, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow tax expertise.

Qualifications

• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and notices.
• Solid client-facing advisory or consultative experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products/services.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office.
