Job summary

Sage Haus is seeking a Family Assistant / Household Manager to support a warm Birmingham family in the afternoons. The role focuses on school pickups, homework, meals, errands, and pet care within a flexible, part-time schedule. The candidate should be reliable, caring, and comfortable engaging with a teenager and dogs.

Hours are 25–30 per week with a guaranteed 25, and compensation ranges from $30 to $35 per hour based on experience. Start date is November 2026, on-site in Birmingham, AL.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience caring for children/teens and managing households.
• Comfort around pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide school pickup three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) and transport the children to after-school activities.
• Provide light afternoon supervision and backup childcare as needed.
• Oversee homework completion and coordinate with the family's tutor.
• Collaborate with the teenager on weekly meal planning and introduce new recipes and meals.
• Complete kid-related errands, including school supplies and activity preparation.
• Oversee and maintain household organization and assist with routine chores and shopping.
