Job summary
Columbia Bank is seeking a Trust Officer in the Tacoma area to drive new business through marketing, while delivering exceptional service to existing trust clients. You will act as a quarterback for client relationships, coordinating across branches and specialists to meet estate planning and investment goals.
You will administer moderately complex trust relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and leverage referrals to grow the book of business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred if practical trust experience
- CTFA Level 1 certification required
- MBA preferred
- 5 years of Trust Officer experience required
- 5 years of experience managing moderately complex trust relationships
- Knowledge of trust accounting and estate tax law
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Occasional travel requirement
Responsibilities
- Generate new business through marketing and cross-selling
- Provide in-house expertise on trust administration
- Call on branches for trust product education
- Develop and maintain trust client relationships
- Administer accounts and maintain files
- Help clients meet goals with acceptable risk
- Stay compliant with bank regulations and policies
- Collaborate with teams on estate planning strategies
