Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Trust Officer II to manage a diverse portfolio of trust accounts, including trusts, estates, and IRA holdings. You will work closely with Wealth Advisors to deliver comprehensive estate planning and fiduciary services to clients in the Watertown Sioux Falls region.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, client communication, and coordination across Legal, Tax, and Audit teams. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial markets, estate planning and trust administration.
• Ability to interpret policies, laws, and governing documents accurately.
• Clear communication of complex financial concepts to clients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Manages a full book of trust accounts in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Administers personal trust accounts and reviews trust documents.
• Assists in administration of estates including asset distribution and claims resolution.
• Oversees onboarding/termination of accounts and due diligence on assets.
• Coordinates with Wealth Advisors to develop comprehensive financial plans.
• Maintains accurate electronic records and provides regular status updates to clients.
