Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Trust Officer II to manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing comprehensive trust and estate planning services, including trusts, estates, conservatorships, investment agencies, and IRA accounts.

You will collaborate with Wealth Advisors and internal/external partners to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while delivering superior client service and maintaining accurate electronic records.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and trust and estate planning.
• Familiarity with trust and estate laws, tax regulations, and legal documentation.
• Ability to clearly explain complex financial and legal concepts to clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Wealth Advisors and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and administers a full book of existing accounts in compliance with bank policies and applicable laws.
• Administers a variety of personal trust accounts; reviews and interprets trust agreements.
• Assists in the administration of estates, including marshalling and distributing assets.
• Oversees onboarding and termination of accounts.
• Coordinates with legal and tax professionals to ensure compliance of trust documents.
• Assists Wealth Advisors in business development opportunities and servicing accounts to retain relationships.
