Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group seeks a Trust and Estate Tax Manager to lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and build client relationships. Based at any US office, you will review returns, draft memos, identify planning opportunities, and guide teams on complex tax matters across individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations.

You will mentor staff, contribute to professional development, and collaborate with CPAs and industry leaders while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA license, JD or MS in Taxation required.
• 5+ years in public accounting tax with leadership of multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Review individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy.
• Research and draft memos involving complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee tax research projects for diverse clients across industries.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide counsel to team members and participate in professional development.
• Instruct or lead discussions as part of training or mentoring initiatives.
