Job summary

Univest is seeking a detail-oriented Trust Compliance Officer to lead and strengthen the Trust Department's Compliance Management Program. You will partner with regulators, auditors, and leadership to support sound practices and manage risk.

The role requires 5-7 years in trust compliance, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong regulatory knowledge. You’ll develop policies, train staff, and monitor controls to ensure adherence to laws and Univest's Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5-7 years in a trust company compliance role.
• Strong working knowledge of state and federal rules for a trust company.
• Experience with regulatory trust company exams and related procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and administer the Trust Department’s Compliance Management Program.
• Develop, review and maintain the Trust Department’s compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments.
• Test and monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls; manage third-party testing as applicable.
• Prepare testing and oversight reports for the Chief Compliance Officer and the Chief Risk Officer.
• Serve as the Trust Department’s liaison with regulators and auditors.
• Serve as a member of the Trust Committee and other committees.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry landscape.
• Develop and present the Trust Department’s Compliance Training Program.
• Ensure compliance with laws and Univest Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Trust Compliance Officer to help lead and strengthen our Trust Department’s Compliance Management Program. In this role, you’ll partner with leaders, regulators, auditors, and internal committees to support sound practices, manage risk, and help ensure we continue doing business the right way. Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of Univest Bank and Trust Co.’s (“Univest”) Trust Department Compliance Management Program
• Develop, review and maintain the Trust Department’s compliance policies and procedures
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments
• Regularly test and monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls; manage third-party compliance testing as applicable
• Prepare testing and oversight reports for the Chief Compliance Officer and the Chief Risk Officer of Univest
• Serve as the Trust Department’s liaison with regulators and auditors
• Serve as a member of the Trust Department’s Trust Committee and the Discretionary Distribution and Real Estate, Fee and Acceptance, and Investment Committees
• Remain current with regulatory changes, supervisory guidance, expectations, and industry landscape
• Responsible for developing, implementing, and presenting the Trust Department’s Compliance Training Program
• Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a trust company compliance role (Trust Compliance Officer experience preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations for a trust company
• Demonstrated experience with state and federal regulatory trust company exams and working knowledge of related procedures and requirements
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management, organizational, diagnostic, critical thinking, presentation, and relationship development skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Wage Range

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $125,000
