The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of paralegal experience in trusts and estates, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines independently. Corporate succession exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of trust and estate paralegal experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Experience preparing and filing probate and estate-related documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities independently.
  • Experience working with attorneys, clients, fiduciaries, and financial/tax professionals.
  • Corporate or business succession planning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and execution of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and other estate planning documents.
  • Prepare and file probate petitions, trust administration documents, court forms, and related filings.
  • Manage probate and estate administration deadlines, court calendars, and procedural requirements.
  • Assist with asset identification and collection, beneficiary communications, creditor notices, accountings, and distributions.
  • Support estate planning involving business interests, entity transfers, fiduciary appointments, and succession planning.
  • Draft client correspondence, status updates, summaries, and memoranda regarding estate and trust matters.
  • Conduct legal research involving trusts, estates, probate, and related corporate matters.
  • Review financial and tax information and coordinate with accountants, tax advisors, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, organized case files and electronic records.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and other advisors.
