Job summary

100KCrossing is seeking a detail-oriented Associate for our Trust & Estates Team. The role advises individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners on estate planning, probate, and tax-efficient wealth transfers.

You will handle sophisticated matters in a collaborative, professional environment. Ideal candidates have a JD and 2–5 years' trust and estates experience, with proven drafting, research, and client-service skills.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2–5 years of relevant trusts and estates experience.
  • Experience drafting estate planning documents and handling estate or trust administration matters.
  • Knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax laws.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and drafting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, and related instruments.
  • Advise clients on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax planning considerations.
  • Assist with probate proceedings, trust administration, estate settlement, and fiduciary accounting matters.
  • Prepare and review federal and state estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and related filings.
  • Support planning for high-net-worth individuals, closely held business owners, blended families, and charitable giving structures.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on trusts and estates, tax, probate, fiduciary, and related legal issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients, fiduciaries, financial advisors, accountants, and other professional advisors.
  • Manage multiple client matters efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail.
