The Building Center, Inc in Mebane, NC is seeking a Truss Sawyer to operate the saw safely, cut lumber per drawings, and oversee saw helpers. You will push carts, maintain a clean workspace, and follow safety protocols in a fast-paced shop environment.

Ideal candidates read tape measures, understand truss math, and can work overtime as needed. GED or high school diploma required; experience with blade or Cyber Saw preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding simple instructions.
• Ability to follow shop drawings and tolerances.
• Comfort with operating lumber cutting equipment.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Read tape measure and apply truss-related measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw safely and efficiently with accurate cutting.
• Oversee saw picker and catcher.
• Handle lumber and push material carts as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Read shop drawings and understand truss mathematics.
• Follow safety requirements in the shop.
