You will operate automated and manual saws, measure and mark pieces, inspect materials for defects, maintain equipment, and collaborate with the production team to keep workloads flowing.

This role requires physical endurance to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods, a strong eye for detail, and commitment to quality

Qualifications

• Experience operating truss equipment and saws.
• Able to read measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.) accurately.
• Basic understanding of construction or framing concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and manual saws to cut wood components according to design specifications and production schedules.
• Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain saw equipment, including routine cleaning and minor adjustments.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
• Work closely with truss assemblers and production team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Monitor inventory of lumber and report shortages or issues.
