Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Truss Designer and Wall Truss Designer to read residential and commercial plans and design wood trusses using software for roof, floor and wall systems.

You will collaborate with team members, customers and production staff to ensure accuracy and to the customers specifications, with training available if needed. This role is based in Minnesota and involves hands-on drafting work.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement accuracy required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design structural components for roof, floor and wall trusses.
• Produce individual plans and final layouts from designs.
• Resolve discrepancies and ensure designs meet customer specs.
