Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a contract-to-hire truss assembler in Pleasantville, IA. You will build wood trusses in a manufacturing facility, following blueprints and production specs with automated jig systems and per project requirements.

Responsibilities include reading measurements, handling lumber, operating tools, and ensuring quality. This role supports a hands-on team focused on safety, efficiency, and accurate assembly on multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Six months in manufacturing, production, construction, carpentry, assembly, woodworking, warehouse, or general labor.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to pass the Basic Industrial Math and Tape Measure assessments.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wood trusses per blueprints and specs.
• Position lumber and components using automated jig systems.
• Install metal connector plates with hand and pneumatic tools.
• Read and measure to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Operate hand and pneumatic tools safely.
• Inspect finished trusses for accuracy and quality.
