Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a team-oriented Truss Builder to join our manufacturing operation. You will work with a crew to assemble wooden trusses, following design specs and safety guidelines on the line.

Daily duties include reading the startup checklist, setting up the framework, placing lumber, securing plates, and using a roller to finish joints. A strong work ethic and ability to lift up to 100 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Build trusses by connecting lumber with metal plates according to design.
• Complete a startup checklist at the start of each shift to ensure equipment readiness.
• Set up a framework on the building table and place lumber in the correct positions.
• Join lumber pieces with metal plates and use a roller to finish joints.
• Perform a quality check to ensure accuracy before moving to the next truss.
