Job summary

Lumber Specialties, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a Truss Assembler to layout, assemble, and stock truss components at multiple Midwest facilities. Candidates should have high school diploma and carpentry experience preferably, with ability to read shop drawings and operate basic tools.

The role focuses on accurate assembly, safe work practices, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior carpentry experience preferred.
  • Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes, plate gauges, girder truss nailing and bolt patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out truss supplies and materials on carts or floor and stock plates for component set-up.
  • Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
  • Read shop drawings to understand stacking order when required.
  • Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations; maintain a safe environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
  • Retain awareness of the work environment to produce error-free results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
