Job summary

DT Project America is seeking a Truckload Broker to join our hybrid team in McDonough, GA. The role focuses on sourcing, booking, and managing truckload carriers, including heavy haul and specialized equipment, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries and strong carrier relationships.

You will negotiate rates, track shipments, and coordinate with operations and project managers while supporting quoting activities and documentation in our TMS.

Qualifications

• Experience in truckload brokerage or freight management, including carrier sourcing and rate negotiation.
• Knowledge of domestic trucking operations, heavy haul or over‑dimensional freight, and basic transportation regulations.
• Strong customer service, relationship‑building, and communication skills for carriers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with TMS, load boards, and standard office software (spreadsheets, email, CRM).
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and stay detail‑oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem‑solving skills for service issues, delays, and exceptions, with practical customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Source, quote, and book truckload carriers, including heavy haul and specialized equipment.
• Negotiate rates and maintain carrier relationships to support margin goals.

Role Description

The Truckload Brokerage role is a full‑time hybrid position based in McDonough, GA, with flexibility for some work‑from‑home days. This role focuses on sourcing, booking, and managing truckload carriers, including heavy haul and specialized equipment, to meet customers’ transportation requirements. Daily responsibilities include negotiating rates, building and maintaining carrier relationships, tracking and tracing shipments, and proactively communicating status updates to customers and internal teams. The role involves coordinating with operations, warehouse staff, and project managers to ensure on‑time pickups and deliveries, resolving service issues, and optimizing load planning to improve efficiency and margin. The Truckload Broker will also support quoting activities, maintain accurate documentation within TMS and related systems, and contribute to process improvements and customer satisfaction initiatives.

• Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, CRM tools).
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and remain detail‑oriented in a fast‑paced environment.
• Problem‑solving skills for resolving service issues, exceptions, and delays, with a focus on practical solutions and customer outcomes.
• Comfort working in a hybrid setting, collaborating onsite in McDonough, GA, and independently from home as needed.
• Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is beneficial but not required.
