Job summary

Buchanan Transportation in Waynesboro, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Trucking Logistics Coordinator to join our team. You will manage and coordinate transportation of trucks, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain clear communication with drivers and clients.

The ideal candidate has proven logistics experience, familiarity with transportation management software and MS Office, CDL knowledge preferred, and the ability to work independently or in a team to monitor routes and optimize cost.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics coordination.
• CDL knowledge preferred.
• 1 year experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule trucking and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of freight for east coast customers.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Monitor transportation routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and driver performance.
• Assist in resolving transportation or delivery problems promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to support operational needs.
