Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking a Truck Installation Technician II to work under the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories.

The technician will follow safety rules and PPE requirements, install truck bodies and components, mount hitches and racks, perform basic welding as needed, and train with other mechanics while handling additional duties assigned by

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding skills (metal and aluminum).
• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience.
• Ability to build schematics.
• Complex hydraulics knowledge (a plus).
• Independent ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and comply with PPE requirements.
• Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
