Job summary

Reading Truck Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Truck Installation Technician to install specialty truck equipment, such as service bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial accessories.

You will follow safety rules, operate power tools, build schematics, troubleshoot, and train with other mechanics; the role offers growth through hands-on experience with hydraulics and welding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding skills (metal and aluminum).
• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience.
• Ability to build schematics for installations.
• Hydraulics knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Independent troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to operate power hand tools and bring basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Basic weld experience is helpful.
• Train with other mechanics as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
