Job summary

Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment, a division of Douglas Dynamics, seeks an assembly/upfit technician to build and install steel truck equipment per specifications. You will read blueprints, follow documented procedures, and work toward production targets.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, manufacturing experience, and the ability to use hand tools and perform basic MIG welding. This on-site role offers training, advancement potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Three-year related experience in manufacturing or technical school preferred.
• Truck fitting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble basic equipment and products under supervision following SOPs.
• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Meet production schedule deadlines set by Production Manager.
• Perform quality checks to verify product meets standards.
• Document work accurately and timely.
• Consult with supervisor on quality or procedural issues.
• Rework/repair assembled equipment per engineering changes.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the work area.
