Reading Truck in Arlington, TX is seeking a Truck Upfit & Installation Technician with 2+ years welding and electrical wiring experience to install service bodies, plows, and other commercial truck equipment. You will follow safety rules, operate power tools, and train with fellow mechanics as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding skills (metal and aluminum).
• 2+ years electrical wiring experience.
• Hydraulics knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to build schematics.
• Independent troubleshooting ability.
• Operate power hand tools with basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Basic weld experience (helpful).
• Train with other mechanics as needed.
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
