Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking a skilled Truck Installation Technician III to install specialty truck equipment such as service bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories. You will work under the Shop Supervisor to complete installations in our Kentucky facility and contribute to on-time, high-quality upfitting.

This role emphasizes safety, adherence to PPE requirements, and teamwork with fellow mechanics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding skills (metal and aluminum)
• 2+ years electrical wiring experience
• Ability to build schematics
• Complex hydraulics knowledge and experience (a plus)
• Independent ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools)

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Basic weld experience (helpful)
• Train with other mechanics as needed
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager
