Job summary

Reading Truck Body, LLC is seeking a Truck Installation Technician III to work under the Shop Supervisor and install specialty equipment on commercial trucks, including service bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and related accessories. Responsibilities include following PPE rules, installing components, and aligning with safety standards.

The role requires welding, electrical wiring, schematics, and problem solving, with opportunities for training and growth within a leading upfitter

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding skills (metal and aluminum)
• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience
• Ability to build schematics
• Hydraulics knowledge and experience (a plus)
• Independent troubleshooting ability
• Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools)

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Assist with basic welding as needed
• Train with other mechanics as needed
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
