Job summary

BestDrive, a subsidiary of Continental, is seeking a Retread Technician to inspect tires, analyze repair steps, and rebuild casings to add value for customers and boost revenue.

You will run casings through shearography, buff and retread, seal envelopes, and ensure airtight curing, while coordinating with sales and fleet personnel for completed tasks. OSHA safety adherence is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to communicate, verbally and written, clearly and professionally with co-workers and management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect casings using Conti-approved tools and procedures.
• Run casings through the shearography machine and grade the casing.
• Buff remaining tread and apply new tread to prepared casings.
• Assemble envelope, install inner envelope, and ensure airtight seal for curing.
• Vacuum test the envelope to ensure proper sealing; repair injuries to casings as needed.
• Load curing chamber and set proper parameters for the load.
• Communicate with BestDrive salesmen and end user fleet personnel to complete tasks.
• Complete necessary paperwork legibly and accurately.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
