Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty and light-duty trucks.

Experience with diesel and alternative fuels such as CNG/LPG/hybrid is valued, and welding/fabrication may be involved. You will work with diagnostic tools and Factory Service Manuals to identify failure modes and perform repairs efficiently, while maintaining safety and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic systems and their diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and ability to interpret service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and material requirements for repairs.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on heavy- and light-duty trucks to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Communicate with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Utilize vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
