Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty/Light Duty Truck Technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems.

This role may involve gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems, with welding and fabrication as needed. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs to maximize safety and productivity, communicate with managers and drivers, complete paperwork, follow safety policies, and use service manuals and vehicle computer

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Ability to guide Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to maximize safe, productive operations.
• Communicate with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
• Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Follow Factory Service Manuals for repair procedures.
