Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck and Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including CNG and hybrid fleets.

The role involves using diagnostic tools and service manuals to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include DVIR review, paperwork completion, safety checks, and collaboration with drivers and supervisors.

Qualifications

Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic systems; able to diagnose and repair.
Experience estimating repair times and parts/materials as needed.
CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on heavy- and light-duty trucks.
Review DVIRs and repair orders and complete repairs accordingly.
Communicate with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
Complete required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Utilize vehicle electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.
Assist other technicians and shop helpers as needed.
