Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking skilled technicians to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Responsibilities may include welding and fabrication as needed.

Applicants should be able to read service manuals, estimate repair times, and maintain safety and cleanliness in the shop. A CDL-B is preferred within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and diagnose complex problems.
• Experience estimating repair times and material requirements.
• Mentor Assistants and Shop Helpers as needed.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs heavy- and light-duty trucks to maximize safety and productivity.
• Communicates vehicle issues to managers/drivers and discusses preventive techniques.
• Completes repair orders and DVIR documentation in a timely manner.
• Follows safety policies and maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Utilizes vehicle diagnostic systems to pinpoint failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Performs safety checks and uses Factory Service Manuals for repairs.
• Maintains high standards of ethics and dependability.
