Job summary

Firematic in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking an experienced Fire Apparatus & Emergency Vehicle Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and EMS vehicles. You will work on trucks and related equipment, applying hands-on mechanical skills that support safety.

We value a self-starter with a positive attitude; CDL B with Air Brakes (or ability to obtain within a year), diesel knowledge preferred, and ASE/EVT certifications are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL B with Air Brakes or be able to obtain within 1 year.
• Diesel engines knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with current maintenance practices for automotive/truck/equipment.
• ASE and/or EVT certifications are a strong plus.
• Self-starter with a positive, can-do mindset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Fire Apparatus & Emergency Vehicle Technician, you’ll be the expert behind the equipment first responders rely on every day.You will:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles
• Work on automotive, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks
• Service Fire and EMS vehicles, small gas engines, and supporting equipment
• Apply hands‑on mechanical skills that directly impact safety and performance

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want someone who brings both capability and attitude:

• A self-starter with a positive, can‑do mindset
• Knowledge of diesel engines (preferred)
• CDL B with Air Brakes, or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Familiarity with current automotive/truck/emergency vehicle maintenance practices (preferred)
• ASE and/or EVT certifications (a strong plus)

WHAT YOU’LL GET

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Starting pay: $25–$35/hr depending on experience & certifications
