Job summary

Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the service department.

You will supervise technicians, secure customer approvals, prepare estimates, and close service tickets while coordinating with the service office and shop floor. The role requires at least 2 years in service management or lead mechanic, a high school diploma, and management training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in service management or lead mechanic role.
• Continuing education course in Management is required.
• High School diploma or better in Communication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help write up repair orders and communicate with drivers/owners to determine problems and solutions.
• Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees to minimize downtime.
• Track each customer job and advise on completion time and repair costs.
• Determine parts to be replaced and coordinate with Mechanics and Parts Department for availability.
• Ensure repairs are coded correctly and parts are billed accurately.
• Verify warranty coverage on parts and repairs where applicable.
• Arrive at work early to review the schedule and prepare for the day.
• Be willing to work extra hours as workload requires and maintain safe working conditions.
