Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a Truck Loader / Unloader / Dock Worker in Sutherland, VA. This contract-to-hire role runs on the night shift, Wed-Sun or Thu-Mon, with pay ranging from $21.60 to $27.30 per hour.

You will load/unload trailers, operate scanners, and help maintain safety and efficiency in a fast-paced distribution center. Responsibilities include using WMS to track shipments, assisting shipping/receiving, and collaborating with the team to meet daily operational targets.

Wed-Sun 10:00pm-6:00am

What You’ll Do

• Load and unload 18-wheel trailers using movable conveyor systems.

• Handle freight efficiently while maintaining safety and accuracy standards.

• Utilize scanners, scales, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments.

• Sort, identify, count, label, and move products throughout the distribution center.

• Support shipping, receiving, and cross-dock operations.

• Apply proper loading techniques to ensure freight is transported safely.

• Maintain productivity goals in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Warehouse, loading/unloading, material handling, or general labor experience preferred.

• Experience with picking, packing, order pulling, shipping, or receiving is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.

• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and inside trailers.

• Basic computer and scanner experience.

• Strong attendance record and dependable work ethic.

• Ability to thrive in a production-driven environment with measurable performance goals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutherland, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $27.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
