Job summary

Standard Materials Group, Inc. is seeking a Truck Technician to join our maintenance team. This full-time role focuses on inspections, repairs, and diagnostics for heavy equipment and trucks in a safety‑driven environment.

Position offers competitive hourly pay ($21–$30), a $2500 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO. CDL is preferred and willingness to travel and work varying shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance a plus.
• Minimum 3–6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Ready Mix Trucks, End Dump Trucks, Tractors, Trailers, and Heavy Construction Equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, analyze malfunctions, and deliver effective solutions for reliability and performance.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain equipment using precision tools.
• Replace and overhaul major components: engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems.
• Test and operate equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor team members during cleaning, assembly, and disassembly operations.
