Standard Materials Group, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and overhaul Ready Mix trucks and heavy equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or technical certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance is a plus.
• Minimum 3-6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent education/experience.
• ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.

Aufgaben

• Inspect, maintain, and repair Ready Mix Trucks, End Dump Trucks, Tractors, Trailers and heavy construction equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, analyze malfunctions, and implement effective repairs.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain equipment using precision tools and techniques.
• Examine parts for wear using micrometers and gauges; replace/overhaul major components as needed.
• Test and tune equipment to ensure peak performance and safety.
• Demonstrate welding skills for structural and mechanical repairs.
• Lead and mentor teammates during cleaning, assembly, and disassembly tasks.
• Accurately document time and parts for compliance and efficiency.
• Suggest improvements or alternative solutions to technical challenges.
