Glen Gery is hiring at our Omaha, NE Brickworks Supply location for an experienced Driver/Yard Worker. The role delivers materials to job sites, loads and unloads with a GVW up to 80,000 lbs, and ensures safe, compliant operations.

Candidate should have a CDL Class A with air brakes, HS diploma or GED, and 1–2 years of material handling/delivery experience in the building products industry. Excellent communication and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive delivery tickets, load trucks, drive to job sites, and unload materials.
• Ensure loads are properly secured to prevent damage.
• Obtain signatures or scans upon delivery.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound orders.
• Operate heavy yard equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment and keep maintenance records up to date.
• Follow route and time schedules; track working hours.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations immediately.
• Assist with month-end physical inventories and resolve discrepancies.

Our Omaha, NE Brickworks Supply location is currently looking to hire an experienced and safety conscious Driver/Yard Worker .The primary function of this role is to assist with daily yard functions along with deliver materials to job sites and / or off-load OTR hauled materials at job sites in a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 80,000 lbs. legally & safely.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive delivery tickets, load trucks, drive to job sites, and unload materials.
• Ensure load is properly secured to prevent breakage or damage.
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans upon delivery.
• Loading and unloading inbound and outbound orders
• Operate powered industrial equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain equipment and keep maintenance records up to date.
• Follow route and time schedule.
• Responsible for loading the truck properly, safely, and legally.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations immediately.
• Track and report working hours.
• Assist with month-end physical inventories, and resolve any discrepancies
• Other duties as assigned as needed

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:

• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and customer service oriented
• Good organizational, math, computer and clerical skills
• Ability to operate heavy yard equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision
• Knowledge of building products, proper storage, safe handling and transportation methods preferred
• Safety conscious
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A CDL Class A with Air Brakes requirement
• High school diploma, GED or Technical Trade
• One to two years of material handling and/or delivery experience in the building products industry preferred
